Here at Wag the Dog, we love dogs and aim to understand them, we want to improve the quality of their life with their owners through better understanding and education of their behaviours and needs.

Our aim is to let dogs be dogs; to run, to play, to scamper and sniff, and basically do all the things that dogs love to do. We offer one to one attention, care and fun for all dogs that we provide a service to.

We pride ourselves in offering an all round service that incorporates as many aspects of your dogs life as possible and which will help to guarantee a happy, healthy pup at all times.

Wag the Dog is a Gold Coast based Dog Care and Dog Concierge business, we are fully insured, police checked, a member of PIAA and Pets Australia and consultants hold a Pet First Aid and CPR qualification as well being passionate about animal care and welfare.

At Wag the Dog we really do walk the walk for your dog as well as talking the talk!

Services

We are happy to offer one off walks, or holiday care, however, we are unable to offer regular dog walking bookings apart from existing bookings or to regular clients.

However, we can happily offer you our 'Dog Concierge' service and match you and your furry best mate to the best alternative in your area, so please feel free to still contact us and ask for our help/advice.

We are happy to provide the following services:

• PET FIRST AID (Pet Tech CPR & First Aid course - www.pettech.net.au)
• BASIC TRAINING (basic training - not competitive disciplines)
• PHOTOGRAPHY (candid shots of your pet at a location of your choice)
• DOG WALKING (tailor made - see where we walk) for information on dog beaches and parks for on and off leash walks.
• GENERAL CARE (doggy visits | feeding | clean up | play | care advice)
• PET PALS (fun and frolics for those pets who are home alone all day)
• HOME STAYS (no kennels | in home - your dog is treated like family!)

Pet Tech First Aid Classes

We have now been teaching Pet Tech Pet First Aid & CPR courses for two years as part of our service; teaching Pet Tech’s PetSaver™ class is such a hugely enjoyable experience for us, and a major component in spreading the word about adequate and competent pet care, primarily among pet owners, but also among pet professionals on the Gold Coast.

Thinking of those in need

For every service we provide a happy, homed dog, we donate $1.00 to a number of non-profit organisations. We donate goods and funds and provide sponsorhip to a variety of organisations in Queensland including the AWLQ; ARQ and Story Dogs all great organisations that work to help animals in crisis and, in the case of Story Dogs, help children learn to read with the aid of dogs. Donations are paid monthly, sponsorships yearly.

We're very excited to annouce that we have now raised over $5000 for animal organisations around Queensland - a big thank you to all our doggie clients and Facebook friends, without whom this would not have been possible.
